Liu Zifei, PhD, is an associate researcher at the Chinese Academy of Fisheries Sciences, deputy chief of the team, and master’s degree supervisor; a position scientist in the National Shellfish Industry Technology System. He concurrently serves as the executive director of the China Society of Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Economics, an expert of the China Aquatic Products Circulation and Processing Association, a director of the China Foreign Agricultural Economic Research Association, an expert of the Youth Think Tank of Farmers Daily, and a member of the National Aquaculture Key Species Monitoring Expert Group. He mainly engaged in research on fishery economics and policy, resource and environmental economics, marine economy and carbon sink. In recent years, he has presided over more than 20 projects of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), etc.; he has won the Fan Li Science and Technology Award for Science and Technology Progress Award (No. 1), the Chinese Academy of Water Sciences Science and Technology Award (No. 1), and many other awards. He has published more than 40 papers as the first author and received 4 affirmative comments from the country’s top leaders.
