Mr. Zhang Yi currently serves as the General Manager of China at CFA Institute. Previously, he served as a senior global market analyst in the London office of CFA Institute, where he was mainly responsible for tracking industry trends, talent needs and policy trends in the global asset management and investment management fields. Invited by the national think tank under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Mr. David Zhang became a core member of the research group “Research on China’s Financial Talent Development Issues and Countermeasures”. At the same time, he was also commissioned by the Insurance Association of China to participate in the writing of human resources reports for the Chinese insurance industry and related research on sub-reports on the asset management industry. Before joining CFA Institute, he accumulated many years of work experience in the British consulting industry. He served as a senior analyst at the British market consulting company Mintel Group, responsible for trend analysis of the global consumer market, and has been interviewed by CCTV and the Financial Times. He has also worked as an industry analyst at Risk Magazine, a well-known industry publication in the field of investment banking, and Central Banking Publication, an authority in the global central bank field. He also went to Nigeria twice to design and implement financial training programs for the Central Bank of Nigeria. He graduated from Tianjin University with a major in business administration from the Department of Management and Economics, and obtained a postgraduate degree in management and strategy (game theory) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
