Park Shilong, Vice President of Peking University, Deputy Director of the Department of Science at Peking University, Dean of the Carbon Neutrality Research Institute of Peking University, Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Member of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee.

Park Shilong is currently a liberal arts chair professor at Peking University, a professor at the School of Urban and Environment, and a Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor at the Ministry of Education. He was elected as an academician of the Department of Earth Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021 and an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries in 2022. He is mainly engaged in research on the mutual feedback relationship between terrestrial ecosystems and climate change in the field of physical geography. In China’s terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink function, terrestrial ecosystem’sresponse and feedback to climate change, he has achieved systematically innovative achievement.
