Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance is a finance school established by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in accordance with the standards of a first-class business school in order to realize the Shanghai International Financial Center construction strategy. Building a top-level financial think tank is one of the missions of the school. Du Yaozhong graduated from the Law Department and Postgraduate School of Southwest University of Political Science and Law with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in law; he received a doctorate in law from the Law Department of Peking University. Later, he joined the People’s Bank of China and worked in the Financial Research Institute, Research Bureau, Treaty and Law Department, Anti-Money Laundering Bureau and Shanghai Headquarters, serving as Chief Staff Member, Assistant Researcher, Deputy Director, Director, and Deputy Inspector. During this period, he worked full-time as a postdoctoral researcher in applied economics at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. From 2018 to 2021, he served as the chief expert of China Construction Bank Research Institutefrom 2022 to present.
