Qian Jun has served as the executive dean, professor of finance, and doctoral supervisor since the official opening of Fanhai International School of Finance at Fudan University in June 2017. He will be appointed as Chairman of the Fudan University Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association from October 2021, as a Standing Member of the 14th Shanghai Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association from July 2022, and as a Standing Member of the 14th Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference from January 2023. Previously, he was a professor of finance at Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Before returning to China full-time to teach in 2013, he served as a tenured professor in the Department of Finance at the Carroll School of Management, Boston College.

Professor Qian Jun has published many papers in top international journals such as Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial Economics, and serves as a senior researcher at the Asian Bureau of Financial and Economic Research (ABFER) and a researcher at the Financial Institutions Center of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He once served as deputy editor-in-chief of Review of Finance, completed the monograph “The Power of China’s Finance”, and completed multiple think tank reports on capital market reform and financial system security. He also served as an associate editor at MIT, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Distinguished, visiting and guest professors at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management and other institutions.
