Qiao Yide, vice president and secretary-general of the Shanghai Development Research Foundation, expert at the Ministry of Finance’s International Finance and Economics Research Expert Studio, and executive director of the 30-person Forum on International Finance.

Qiao Yide studied public administration at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in the United States in 1985. After receiving his master’s degree, he conducted research at the Harvard Institute of International Development. In 1995, he was sent to China by New York Life Insurance Company to serve as China’s chief representative and general manager until May 2003. Then he joined the Shanghai Development Research Foundation and has been responsible for its daily work to this day. Research areas include macroeconomics, international finance, etc. He has published dozens of books and a large number of papers and articles in the International Economic Review, Comparative Journal, Tsinghua Financial Review, China Business News, Financial Times, Chinese Edition and other media.
