Wu Xiaoqiu, born in February 1959, is a famous financial scientist in my country. He received a doctorate in economics from Renmin University of China in 1990 and was promoted to professor of economics at Renmin University of China in June 1993. He once served as Vice President of Renmin University of China (2016-2020). In 2006, he was appointed as a Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor by the Ministry of Education. He is currently the dean of the National Institute of Financial Research at Renmin University of China, dean of the China Capital Market Research Institute, national first-level professor, editor-in-chief of “Applied Economics Review”, and director of the China-US Humanities Exchange Research Center of the Ministry of Education. Main social and academic positions: Convenor of the Applied Economics Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, first deputy director of the National Finance Professional Degree Graduate Education Steering Committee, deputy director of the National Finance (Undergraduate) Teaching Steering Committee, expert consultant on professional degree cases in China Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Deputy Director of the Academic Advisory Committee of the China Association of Listed Companies, Vice President of the China Education Development Strategy Society and Chairman of the Higher Education Professional Committee, Vice President of the Modern Finance Society, Executive Director of the China Finance Society, and National Ecological Environmental Protection Expert Committee committee member.
